FIGHTING TO
Restore Integrity
in the Galveston County District Clerk's Office

LET'S WORK TOGETHER

The Change We Need
Samantha is a single mother, longtime educator, and committed community volunteer who understands the challenges families face because she’s lived them. After 17 years serving local students and raising two young daughters, she believes public service should reflect the same integrity and work ethic she expects in her own home. When she saw the District Clerk failing to show up for taxpayers, she knew it was time for a change. Samantha is running to bring honest leadership, full-time service, and real accountability back to the Galveston County District Clerk's Office.

SAMANTHA'S PRIORITIES FOR GALVESTON COUNTY
Fiscal Responsibility
Galveston County taxpayers deserve a public servant who is going to find ways to reduce spending by identifying efficiencies in staffing and other programs in the office. Just like our average small business owners, we need officials in government who find ways to do more with less. It needs to be a team effort across the board from every elected office in Galveston County to help do their part in reducing the property tax burden on homeowners and business owners.
Transparency & Accountability
Just like taxpayers in Galveston County, the District Clerk’s Office and staff will be open and available during business work hours from 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday every week. The Texas Legislature and Commissioners’ Court had to pass a law in the 2025 Legislative Session just to get our current District Clerk to keep his office open during regular business hours – that’s wrong and not what you deserve. It’s time for new leadership in this office, and one that will be accountable and transparent to you, the taxpayers.
Access to Justice
The Office of District Clerk is the key support system for accessing the District Courts, along with the jury system for all the courts in Galveston County. Investing in technology and replacing outdated systems will not only enhance access to the justice system but will lead to financial savings that can be returned to the taxpayers.
